Ointments: There are Lidocaine and dibucaine ointments that can be used for symptomatic relief - but they do nothing for curing the disease. You should see your doctor about prescribing Diltiazem ointment to help this heal.

Underlying cause: If you have a history of chronic anal fissures you might want to discuss your problem with a gastroenterologist. Perhaps he can find out why you are having the problem.
