Next steps: Hopefully the a abrasion is well healed and you can discontinue the lens. In that case your ophthalmologist will suggest lubricating drops for 1-2 weeks and advise you not to rub your eye. If the abrasion is still there or there are other problems, then some other pathway might be suggested.

Contact lens off: If the cornea has healed completely, the doctor will take off the bandage contact lens in the next visit and possibly instruct the patient to stop the antibiotic drops.
