Heart rhythm problem: Long qt syndrome (lqts) is a congenital disorder of the heart's electrical activity that is characterized by prolongation of the qt interval (delayed repolarization) on an electrocardiogram. Delayed repolarization of the heart following a heartbeat increases the risk for sudden, uncontrollable, dangerous heart rhythm disturbances in response to exercise or stress.

A genetic disorder..: That can lead to serious arrhythmias. There are several varieties of this, all leading to an abnormality of the ECG that predisposes a person to serious cardiac arrhythmias. A cardiologist , and especially a cardiac electophysiologist, can guide you as to whether any therapy is needed.
