Depends: Is this from an ultrasound study? Are you referring to the lining of the uterus or the uterus itself? There are many potetial answers. The lining of uterus ( endometrium) can be thickened based on where you are in your normal cycle. Other possibilities include fibroids, polyps, hyperplasia, cancer...Thickening of the muscles can include fibroids, adenomyosis, tumors, cancer....
