Knee pain: Knee pain can be caused by injury to one if the various parts of the knee, bone, cartilage, ligaments, etc. Some knee pain may be self limiting and will resolve with time but if your symptoms persist i would recommend seeing your doctor and having your knee examined.

Knee pain: Knee pain in females, particularly anterior knee pain is a nebulous problem. Commonly this is due to an increased q-angle. The angle from the anatomic axis of the femur to the tibial tubercle which causes your patella to glide on the outside of the trochlea, causing pain. Physical therapy with quad strengthening is our treatment of choice, but a difficult problem to treat.
