Many possibilities: Go see your dr. Most back pains are muscular in origin, triggered by poor posture, heavy lifting or straining. Other possibilities include arthritis, scoliosis/ sideward curvature of your spine. If it is worsening and persistent, consider having an xray of your spine. Good luck friend!
