In the stomach?: If there is stool or gas in the actual stomach, that is not normal... Could be something called a bezoar. If by stomach, you mean abdomen, then it just means constipation. In either case, ultrasound for that is not really indicated. If it's really in stomach, from a radiology standpoint, i'd do a barium swallow or ct scan.

Often, these tests are associated with significant cost, and don't help aid in the diagnosis of what is causing abdominal pain. The most frequent cause of abdominal pain, other than constipation (or IBS), in children, is functional abdominal pain.
