Elbow Lump Causes: Many causes of elbow lumps: cysts, bursitis(olecranon), xanthomas(fatty tumors), abscesses(infections). Any persistent lump on the elbow should be examined by a physician. Some causes are easy to treat with minor surgery, antibiotics, etc. Others like xanthomas reflect more serious internal problems.
