Will penicillin stop tonsil stones?

NO: Tonsil stones are a mechanical problem which has to do with accumulation of debris in the pits (crypts) of tonsils. Antibiotics may temporarily reduce surrounding irritation or any odor associated with the stones but will not cure the problem. Usually, there is no role for antibiotics in the treatment of stones.
