Does all hernias required surgery to fix?

No: Hernias come in all shapes and sizes. Smail hernias that are reducible and not worsening may not require surgery and only need to be monitored.

Yes and No.: A hernia is a hole in the abdominal wall at natural weak points such as the groin, the belly button, or areas of prior surgical scars. In adults, these hernias will never close up on their own; however, the decision to repair these should be based on one's symptoms, the risk of complications associated with the hernia, and one's ability to tolerate the stress of surgery. Best bet: see a surgeon.
