It depends: There are no foods that are universally associated with atopic dermatitis. In moderate to severe atopic dermatitis about 30-50% of patients will have some food triggers for their ad. See an allergist for testing to find out what those might be.

Atopic dermatitis: Once you get atopic dermatitis, it tends to come back at the same place many times a year. You cannot avoid it but with good skin care and treatment, the recurrent frequency can be reduced. Many factors contribute to this problem like skin barrier, allergies, infection... Keeping your skin moist, avoiding strong soap would help significantly. Both allergist ; dermatologist are well versed in this.

Food allergy: Food allergy can be involved in worsening atopic dermatitis or eczema; especially in children (probably about 1/3rd of cases). Some food allergies are caused by allergic antibody (ige) that can be detected by blood work, in other cases if is presumably caused by blood cells that have become reactive to foods (no reliable testing is felt to exist for this type of allergy). Dietary diary might help.
