Is it ok to use hand sanitizer on babies?

Yes: It should be alcohol free. Otherwise, just clean your baby the old fashioned way- with soap and water.

Yes: Yes, it is ok to use hand sanitizer on a baby's hands and feet, but one should wipe off any excess sanitizer. Babies naturally need to develop immunity to "germs" in their world, so it is "unnatural" to keep babies excessively "clean".

Yes: I would avoid the use of hand sanitizer on kids less than 2 months as it will dry their skin out too much.

No: Hand sanitizer is mostly alcohol and remember babies tend to put their hand in their mouth, and they can also absorb the alcohol from thier skin. Alcohol irritates the delicate skin of babies. In most instances soap and water will do just fine to clean little hands. If you must use it put it on your hands first and then apply to your babys hands. Always read warning labels on any product you use!
