A member asked:

What is the parasympahomimetics?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A group of chemicals: A group of chemicals that cause stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system. The drugs are related only in their effect not in their structure or even mechanism of action. Acetylcholine is sort of the mother compound, but other chemicals such as nicotine, caffeine and Malathion belong to this group as well.
