Some common causes include lack of sleep, anemia and hereditary trait. A healthy diet, sources of iron, adequate sleep are recommended.

It really depends upon why you have the dark circles. Sometimes this can be genetic. If everyone in your family looks the same, there's your answer. If you find that its occuring when you don't get enough sleep, then sleep more. Smoking can cause this too. So can sun exposure. Try to isolate when it happens and address the underying cause.
