Did antiacids help?: If your symptoms were temporarily responsive to antiacid meds, there is a good chance that this is a form of acid reflux disease or esophagitis. You may require a stronger or longer acting medication. Could consider a trial of ranitidine or Omeprazole (both over the counter at a pharmacy). However, please check in with your doc.
