Possibly: You should get checked out for causes of painful periods, including endometriosis, fibroids, and polyps inside your uterus - these can all affect fertility. Depending on how long you've been trying you may also need a hsg test to check your tubes, testing for diminished ovarian reserve (low egg supply), and a sperm count for your partner - there's a sperm problem 40 - 50% of the time.
