Referred pain: Sounds like you're getting pain referred from pelvis into hip. Because there is a "plexus" or grouping of nerves in the pelvis, pain can sometimes originate there but be felt in a different location. I would discuss with ob-gyn. If pain is reproducible with pelvic exam, that might help localize the problem. Hard to say without exam.
