U need a pelvic exam: You need a pelvic exam to check for vaginal infection. You discharge could be benign and normal but it won't hurt if you'll undergo testing for possible bacterial or fungal infection. Redness in the vaginal lips suggest inflammation and/or infection. You may need antibiotics and anti-inflammatory agents. Take care!
