Cycle control: If its for cycle control, the issue is not stopping the period and stay on active pills continuously for as long as you want or when you get back from the trip. For cycle control you can do this anytime but it may not protect you as a contraceptive. For contraceptive protection you need to start the sunday of the week of your period, and then stay on them to be protected.
