May need antibiotic: This sounds like bacterial vaginosis. Benign, non-std caused disturbance of the normal vaginal ph. You need antibiotics to treat this. Douching can predispose to getting this type of vaginitis - so resist the urge to douche. See gyn for an antibiotic (metronidazole) usually, or other treatments are available.
