A member asked:

Does having an abortion increase the chances of getting cancer?

No: Despite deliberately misleading propaganda to the contrary, there is no evidence whatsoever, nor any plausible mechanism, which would relate having an abortion to subsequently being found to have cancer. This is a lie, basically, told by unscientific people looking to influence the abortion debate.

No: The best scientific work has discredited the claim about breast cancer. This is being kept alive by politicians, not scientists. If you are considering ending your pregnancy for convenience, I would ask you to look at all your options, including bring your child to term and offering an adoption in a loving home. Only you can decide based on accurate information. Best wishes.
