A member asked:

I'm 35weeks pregnant & my breathin doesn't feel right , feels like its closing up & hurts in my chest my doc says not to worry but doesn't feel right?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

He's probably right: Your doctor is probably right. The majority of the time, symptoms such as yours during pregnancy are as a result of the change in your anatomy. With the uterus enlarging, you diaphragm gets "pushed up" and thus, diminishes your lung capacity. Also, you rib cage changes its orientation slightly and cause discomfort. In rare cases, you have to worry about blood clots in the lungs.
