Yes: Yes, but it may not improve things greatly. Most feeding experts recommend solids between 4-7 mos. If you have started solids, rice cereal may slow down the GI tract. However, it may not. Consider using probiotics (get them from your pharmacist). If you child shows signs of dehydration or this goes on beyond 2 weeks, then have your child evaluated.

Yes : I find that rice cereal & bananas in quantities of a tablespoon or two several times a day will often slow down stools.Applesauce is another good item that has the same effect.
