No.: Once you contract herpes, it stays with you for life.There are medicines that help control it and make it behave, but you must consider yourself a carrier and can be contagious, even if you have no obvious lesions...Therefore, you must always have safe sex ( condom ) in order not to infect your partner.

NO: No because you do not know when that ' before it forms completely' , in case of genital herpes using protective prophylaxis may prevent , but once infected virus will stay in the body for ever in the nerve cell.
