Take as prescribed: There are usually well-established and scientifically documented reasons to take prescription medicines as prescribed. If a medicine is not prescribed to be taken "as needed", it rarely works the way it is intended to work if you take it that way. I would recommend that you take your Prednisone the way it is prescribed unless you have contacted your doctor and he/she okays the change.
