No: It doesn't have to...But a new baby, nursing, sleepless nights all add up to fatigue. New parents tend to be tired and tired people tend not to want to have sex. If you have family and friends who can help you, take them up on it. Only you can nurse the baby but everyone else can do everything else. If this lets you get more rest then it will help keep your sex drive up.
