Extremely dry eyes only when lying down. sleeping in chair fixes it. tried humidifier, doesn't fix it?

Dry Eyes: You may be allergic or sensitive to something in your bedding. Dust mites, fabric softeners, retained detergents can be involved. Consult an allergist and an eye specialist. Ultrasonic humidifiers can also cause irritation due to minerals in the water vapor.

May be more serious: This may be from nocturnal lagophthalmos (i.e. Sleeping with your eyes open) or rarely from a condition called floppy eyelid syndrome... Your eye md should be able to help.
