3 weeks after sex: A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly, 3 weeks after sex (when conception might have occurred). If one's normal, regular period comes before the 3 week point, then there is no need to test unless there are lots of other pregnancy symptoms. The easy way is to wait for a missed period, if one has normal, regular monthly periods (and test 1 week after missing the period).
