It could: Anytime you have irregular bleeding we will want to rule out an std like chlamydia or gonorrhea. However it may be something completely unrelated. It may be related to that missed birth control pill. The lining of the uterus is supported by the hormones in the pill. When you miss one, you take away that support and sometimes the lining breaks down and bleeds. You should see your doctor to tell.
