A member asked:

Are there any anti-depressants tablets out there that make you not gain weight?

Yes: While most mental health medications have weight change as a potential side effect, there are several that almost never cause weight gain. Talk to a mental health doctor. They can discuss the risks and benefits of the various medications with you.

Bupropion: Bupropion is the only antidepressant that is clearly weight neutral. Many of the ssris have a low incidence of weight gain. Lexapro and viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) are the two with the lowest incidence.
