No: People who had a partial resection of their stomach removed have an increased incidence of gastric cancer. Some people have extrapolated that long term antacid medications could do the same but this has never been proven scientifically.

No: There is no research or statistics to substantiate this theory, despite the fact that lifetime use frequently occurs.
