Call 911 : Anaphylaxis is a medical emergency and needs to be treated immediately. The most effective medication is Epinephrine or Adrenalin and the sooner it is administered, the better the outcome. Avoiding the triggering allergen is important. Because anaphylaxis can progress and potentially be fatal, it is important to be evaluated in the ed so appropriate treatment can be administered.
