YES: If you are severely anemic (hb<7.0 g/dl) then you may need a transfusion. You should also be taking iron and ferritin. Use professional quality sources for these supplement. In regards to exercise, do things you enjoy (e.g., walking or biking). Exercise videos are available for home use (e.g., aerobics). You can also bounce or jog in place on a small home trampoline. Gradually increase endurance.
