How can stress affect a woman's period?

Stress and periods: A woman's reproductive system is quite sensitive to many things. During specific times of stress a woman may not ovulate normally, and that will lead to missing or irregular periods. Stress may increase the discomfort a woman has with her periods in some cases. At age 40, a significant change in your periods could also indicate approaching menopause.
