Lubrication: The most common cause of vaginal laceration is intercourse. This may occur during first intercourse in a virginal woman, or when thrusting is too forceful. Most commonly due to inadequate lubrication during sexual intercourse, although there are other causes. You need to be sure there is adequate lubrication, if not naturally occurring, use plenty of KY jelly, you should not have any problems.

Take it SLOW: With a caring & sensitive partner. Try some intimacy w anything but intercourse. Try some single finger digital insertion when you are ready. Astroglide is a great lubricant! a small dildo could be helpful. Take it slow. Approach sex as a sharing of intimacy & 'play'. You should be physically healed but depending on the cause, there could be emotional blocks. Consult a sex therapist if needed.

Seek therapy: 90% of sex is mental. Even if there is no longer any physical problem (i am assuming you have been checked) the emotional consequences can still be devastating. You need a patient and understanding partner and you need to start slowly and progress gradually. While you might be able to manage this without assistance you are more likely to be successful with the aid of a sex therapist.
