Fordyce Spots ?: Fordyce spots are small raised, pale red, yellow-white or skin-colored bumps or spots that appear on the shaft of the penis, the labia, scrotum, or the vermilion border of the lips (the outside red part of the lip). These are benign (not associated with any disease or illness) and represent sebaceous glands. They are only a cosmetic concern. See a board certified dermatologist to have it checked.

Lots of things!: Bumps can be due to numerous things, however on the upper lip it could be a herpes lesion/cold sore, a nevus/mole, a wart, or even a pimple. Your family physician can probably determine the cause. Skin cancer is always a rare possibility, but at 24 Y.O. It would be less likely.

The most common location for Fordyce spots is at the border of the lips, especially near the corners of the mouth. Other locations include the back portions of the inner cheeks and inside the mouth, including the tonsils. The head of the penis and inner portion of the foreskin may be affected as well. Multiple (usually less than 10) 1–2 mm, painless, yellowish papules are seen.
