A pregnancy test: If your period came 13 days after it was expected, it could be a late period (if you happened to ovulate late this month), an early miscarriage or tubal pregnancy (particularly if you have worse cramping than usual), or implantation bleeding (usually much lighter than a real period). Start with a pregnancy test. If positive or if you have cramping, see your doc asap.
