Are store brand contact lens solution harmful compared to the well known brands such as bausch and lomb.

Store brand: Store brand contact lens solutions are just not as good at removing debris and protein from the contact lenses. I have seen more people develope red eyes and contact lenses intolerance while using store brand solution. These solutions will not permanently damage you eyes but are just not as good as bran name solutions. I prefer a solution called revitalens.

No: Many store brand solutions are made in the same factory as the name brands and are re-labelled with the store name. I have many patients using these products. Just be sure it is an all-in-one solution; that is, it cleans, disinfects and stores the contacts.
