what can i do about a giant blood clot that is bigger than the size of a half dollar?

Treatment for DVT: The condition you are referring to is deep venous thrombosis, i'm assuming. Where is this blood clot located? Treatment options include blood thinning, however in certain situations, minimally invasive therapies can be used to dissolve the blood clot. This should be addressed urgently with your primary doctor.
