If i were to start taking anti-depressants, would there be side effects?

Could be: Modern antidepressant side effects r more tolerable than old tricyclic antidepressants, but some can experience headache, GI complaints and delayed ejaculation. Much more rarely psychotic or manic reactions can be triggered - though good assessment for riks of this and good follow up or concurrent close follow up with psychotherapy can reduce this hazard. Talk to your doc about specific meds.
