Many: There are many many causes for periods to begin early. A lot depends upon your "normal" periods, are they regular or irregular? Many physical and mental factors can affect the timing of menses, including stress, infection, even being in close confinement with a woman on a different cycle. Wait and see if your next period return to your prior "normal".
