Yes & no: A good analogy is what happens with a car speeding down the road. Treatment can allow the car to be slowed to make a turn, but doesn't change the decision making process to turn. You don't change inherent behavior problems with treatment, but it may allow other therapies (talk, behavior mod) to have a better effect.
