...: Genital herpes can be treated with several different medications including acyclovir, Famciclovir and valacyclovir. Treatment can be offered as the outbreaks occur. But if someone has multiple frequent outbreaks, consideration can be given to suppressive therapy (i.e. Take medication daily to prevent outbreaks). Talk to your doctor about your options.
