What can i do if i messed up on my birth control pills?

Reconsider options: If you missed taking birth control pills, they won't work as well--the failure rate of pills in typical use is 9%. If you find that you frequently miss pills, you may want to consider a long-acting reversible contraceptive--such as an intrauterine device (iud) or implant that goes under the skin. These methods work as well as sterilization, but are very easy to use.
