DUB: 90% of dysfunctional bleeding is anovulatory; 10% are ovulatory. DUB can result from any disorder or condition that causes anovulation but is most often secondary to polycystic ovary syndrome. The number one reason for your DUB is your age. During perimenopause, DUB is early sign of impending ovarian failure. Never the less, you need an endometrial biopsy to make sure its not a cancer.
