See below: The morning after pill does not cause thrush, a yeast infection in the mouth. Unprotected oral sex and immunosuppression diseases such as diabetes and HIV can. Please see a doctor.

Thrush: Thrush - or a yeast infection - is often caused by stress, illness, or other causes of a change in the delicate balance between your body's normal bacterial population and the fungi that normally inhabit our mouths, skin, and vaginal mucosa. The "morning after pill" can hormonally upset this balance, but so can the stress of the event itself. Abdominal and back pains are common with this pill.
