No hormonal effect: The information you provide does not include where you had an infection. If it was in the mouth, there have been case reports reporting anorexia and weight loss due to hsv-1 oral infections. Since breasts are mostly made up of adipose tissue, 3 kilos of weight loss will be reflected on the breasts as a loss of volume. So, the reduction in breast size may not be hormonal at all.
