Is plan b more effective then birth control?

No!: With no missed pills, "perfect use", the failure rate is 0.3%->99% effective. In typical use, because taking a pill every d without ever missing is hard, about 9/100 couples will get pregnant/year.But emergency birth control, plan b, reduces your risk of pregnancy by about 80-85%, and is not intended for regular use.Ask about other bc options that are easy to use and long lasting like iud or implant.

They are two: different things. Plan B is an emergency contraceptive - to be used when another form of birth control fails. It's level of effectiveness depends on how long you take it after intercourse. It is not as effective as regular use of oral contraceptives. There are many other forms of birth control that are extremely effective.
