Valacyclovir: If it is a herpes lesion, it initially will feel like an itching or burning sensation. The lesion will appear like a cluster of grapes. If you start taking the valacyclovir right away the sore will go away within a couple of days. If not the blisters will break, the skin will crust over and after a week to ten days it will heal.
