Not a disease: Hypothermia results from being exposed to cold environments or chill factor situations without adequate protection to prevent loss of body heat. It is imperative to remove the person from that environment (if possible) &/or to take measures to raise the core temperature (heated blankets, heated IV solutions, warm fluids). If u r in the same environment, u r at risk, too.
